BIOGRAPHY

The Essential Biography

I’m Eric Walters and I serve as the Director of STEM Education at Marymount School of New York, where I teaches Advanced Physics, Honors Physics, Atmospheric Science and several technology electives. I also coordinate RSHM Global, a program that brings educational opportunities to faculty and students in the RSHM Global Network of Schools. An Apple Distinguished Educator, I believe that transformative teaching and learning occurs when students construct their own knowledge, collaborate with peers and then receive authentic feedback on their work. I also serves as moderator for the Student Tech + Media Club @ Marymount, which plans the annual STEMxYouth Summit and which recently published the action research report, Girls + Social Media.I have a B.S. in Meteorology from UMassLowell; an MS in Atmospheric Science from SUNY-Albany; a professional certificate in online education from UCSD; and a certificate in television writing from UCLA. I have also published a series of fiction books under the umbrella title My Life with Liam (On Topanga Canyon Blvd) and I am currently pitching on a television pilot called Youth + Experience, which tells the story of the former child star who is given a second chance at success when he is brought back as the host of the teen sketch show from which he was fired thirty years earlier,
